Hornets Defeat Hollins 76-45

LYNCHBURG, VA - Every Hornet scored as the Lynchburg College women's basketball team defeated Hollins University 76-45 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action Saturday evening in Turner Gymnasium.

Chevonne Booker (Richmond, VA/Thomas Jefferson) posted a game-high 14 points along with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals, and Dana Esposito (New Port Richey, FL/Holy Names) contributed 12 points in just 16 minutes. Kelly Sutherland ( Basking Ridge, NJ/Basking Ridge) tallied 11 points and six rebounds with Kristina Darby (Tampa, FL/Holy Names) posting nine points, four assists, and four steals.

Tamara Phillips and Allison Kibler each tallied 10 points while Nicole Grant provided eight points, six rebounds, and three steals for Hollins (0-21/0-17). LC out-rebounded HU 46-32 and outshot them 40%-30%.

The Hornets (14-8/11-6 ODAC) travel across town to face Randolph College on Tuesday at 7 pm in ODAC action.
