Hornet of the Week

Baseball

The Hornet baseball team opened its 2008 slate this weekend at Limestone College, and junior hurler D.W. Moore (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) started the season strong. He threw five shutout innings Saturday, allowing just three singles while walking none and striking out five against the Division II Saints. Last season, Moore went 6-1 with a 3.88 ERA.
