LC Track Travels to UNC and VMI
CHAPEL HILL, NC and LEXINGTON, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed Saturday at the University of North Carolina and the Virginia Military Institute.
Sophomore Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) ran the mile in 4:23.15 at UNC, while Pat Jacobs (Bloomingdale, NJ/Butler) had a personal-best of 4:27.46. Ryan Van Alstine (Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) finished the 3,000 in 8:57.03, Earl Graves (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) ran the 200 in 23.14 and J.J. Johnson (Lynchburg, VA/Amherst County) ran a 7.31 in the 60 meters.
At VMI, sophomore Ashley Allen (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) won the women’s weight throw with a heave of 13.87. At UNC, Molly Galloway (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) finished the mile in 5:39, Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/APW) completed the 800 in 2:26.72. Krystle Landes (Staunton, VA/Wilson) and Kyra Richardson (Midlothian, VA/Midlothian) ran 27.76 and 27.83, respectively in the 200 meters.
LC travels to Susquehanna University Friday.
