Lynchburg Women Win Again on the Road, 62-53 at W&L

         LEXINGTON, VA – Freshman Courtney Brewer (Culpeper, VA/Highland) scored 11 of her career-high 13 points in the second half Friday night as the Lynchburg College women’s basketball team won 62-53 at Washington & Lee University in an Old Dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) game.  

 Sophomore forward Brittany Dahn (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) scored a game-high 16 points and also tallied nine rebounds and four assists. Brewer hit six of her nine shots from the floor in just 19 minutes while sophomore guard Chevonne Booker (Richmond, VA/Thomas Jefferson) had 11 points, four rebounds, and three steals.

Kristen Krouchick led W&L with nine points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Emily Wolff and Bethany Ridenhour each also scored nine points. LC (8-4/5-2 ODAC) outshot the Generals 47% to 37% from the field, with LC shooting 52% in the second half. W&L (4-9/3-5 ODAC) outrebounded the Hornets 35-31 for the game.

Lynchburg travels to Roanoke College tomorrow to conclude their six-game road stand, posting four wins in the first five contests. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
