LC Track Travels to East Tennessee State
JOHNSON CITY, TN – The Lynchburg College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams traveled to the two-day East Tennessee State University Track Classic this weekend.
In the first day of competition on Friday, junior Earl Graves (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) did well in three events, running a 22.33 in the 200 meters, a 50.60 in the 400 and a 7.18 in the 60 meters. Brandon Edwards (Warrenton, VA/Fauquier) finished the 200 in 22.47 and the 400 in 50.88, and J.J. Johnson (Lynchburg, VA/Amherst Co.) ran the 55-meter hurdles in 8.98.
Freshman Ashley Allen (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) threw a 13.34 in the weight throw for the women’s team and also had a heave of 11.11 in the shot put. Mary Mohay (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) cleared 10’6” in the pole vault and Krystle Landes (Staunton, VA/Wilson) finished the 400-meters in 62.34.
The Hornets return to action tomorrow at East Tennessee State.
