         LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore forward Mason Wooldridge (New Canton, VA/Fork Union) recorded Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) season-highs of 45 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists to lead the Lynchburg College men’s basketball team to a 131-118 win over Emory and Henry College in ODAC action.

         The 131 points marks a school record for most points in a single game, beating the previous record of 119 set against Christendom in the 91-92 season.  Wooldridge shot 17-25 from the field and 11-11 from the free throw lines. Sophomore forward Jeff Langrock (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) tallied a career-high 31 points on 14-16 shooting along with four assists while senior guard Kwame Safo (Vienna, VA/George C. Marshall) scored 20 points on while converting 14 of 18 free throw attempts and also tacked on six assists. Senior forward Evan Fancourt (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) contributed with six points, eight assists, and six rebounds and sophomore guard Steven Echols (Martinsville, VA/Carlisle) had nine points, six rebounds, and six assists.

         Robert Hudson led the Wasps (4-8/0-5 ODAC) with 25 points while Camillo Weinz had 18 points and JD Dyson recorded 13 points.  LC (3-8/1-4 ODAC) shot 69% for the game, including 79% in the second half, and converted on 34 of 41 free throws for 83%. Emory & Henry shot 40% for the game and connected on just 21% of their three pointers (13-63) and 68% of their free throw attempts.  Lynchburg out-rebounded the Wasps 52-40 while the Wasps won the turnover battle 15-33.

          Lynchburg hosts the Virginia Wesleyan College Marlins on Saturday at 3 p.m. in ODAC action.
