The Lynchburg College men's soccer program will host the second annual LC Soccer Showcase this Saturday and Sunday on the College's Shellenberger Field and local E.C. Glass High School.

A total of 47 teams will compete in the showcase, with club teams from four states and high schools - including Jefferson Forest and E.C. Glass.

More than 500 participants will compete in the two-day event. Each team plays two games (50 minutes) on Saturday and two on Sunday. The contests will run from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Tours and an enrollment service information session are offered. There will be a panel discussion for college coaches attending from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Saturday in Sydnor performance Hall.

"This is our second year hosting the Showcase and we are very pleased to have some great high school and club teams on our campus for the weekend," said LC head men's soccer coach Chris Yeager.

"The Showcase is a great opportunity for prospects to play some competitive soccer and tour our beautiful campus. We will be offering enrollment service information sessions, tours of campus, and also a college coaches talk for all participants."
