
Program components include:
Participation in regular training and reflection activities
Team-building activities to build a cohesive, supportive group of Bonner Leaders
Adventure-based, experiential activities to explore leadership and entrepreneurial risk-taking
Ongoing program development that is as student-led as possible, where opportunities exist for students to design and coordinate their own activities and learning experiences, with guidance
Utilization of the principles of experiential education and service learning to promote caring, skilled leaders
Fostering social entrepreneurship skills where service in the community becomes an opportunity for leadership skills development, risk-taking, conceptualizing program development plans, and gaining internship experiences that include non-profit management tasks
Developing awareness of social justice issues, where respect and understanding for cultural diversity is nurtured
Opportunities to participate in community-based research (CBR) projects with faculty and community partners, and to further connect academic work to Bonner commitments through coursework, service-learning, and/or enrolling in LC's Minor in Civic Engagement
