Guilford Rolls to a 101-55 Victory over Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, VA – All but one player scored for Guilford College as the Quakers notched a 101-55 victory over the Lynchburg College men’s basketball team in each team’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener on Saturday.

         Ben Strong and Clay Henson each scored 22 points to lead the Quakers, while Tyler Sanborn finished with six points and 10 rebounds and Caleb Kimbrough dished out eight assists for Guilford (2-1/1-0 ODAC). George Neville posted 12 points for the Quakers. Mason Wooldridge led all Hornets (0-4/1-0 ODAC) with 17 points while KC Mendez notched 11 points in 15 minutes.

         Guilford shot 59% from the field and 55.6% from three range while converting on 19 of 25 free throw attempts. Lynchburg shot 30.4% overall and 27.6% from three while converting on 13 of 18 free throws. The Quakers out-rebounded Lynchburg 48-23 while forcing 21 turnovers.

         Lynchburg will travel to Ferrum, VA, to take on the Panthers of Ferrum College on Tuesday at 7 pm.
