Women’s Soccer

Freshman goalie Jackie Bader (Fort Washington, MD/Bishop Ireton) came up big this weekend as the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team competed in the Division III Women’s Soccer Championship tournament. She made two saves to preserve a 2-1 Hornet victory over Emory University (GA) on Saturday in the Sweet 16, and made 10 stops Sunday to keep the Hornets close in a 1-0 loss to the College of New Jersey in the Elite Eight. For the season, Bader has allowed just six goals in over 1,900 minutes in net.
