Hornets End 2007 Season 20-8

             ROANOKE, VA – The top seeded Bridgewater College volleyball team defeated #5 Lynchburg College 30-11, 30-23, 26-30, 30-22 Saturday morning in the semifinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Tournament, hosted by Hollins University.

             Lynchburg advanced to the semifinals after a four-set upset of Roanoke College Friday evening. Against Bridgewater, Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) had 25 digs, while Jasmine Murphy (Shipman, VA/Nelson County) had 19 digs and Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) contributed 18. Chelsea Jones (Richmond, VA/Monacan) led the squad with 12 kills, Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) had 10 and Amanda Walsh (Forest, VA/Heritage) had eight.

             The Eagles (31-1) face second-seeded Washington & Lee University later on Saturday in the tournament finals.
