Guide to Services for Faculty
- Course Reserves: There are two methods for placing library items on reserve:
- Retrieve the items from the shelves yourself and use one of the reserve request forms available at the Circulation Desk.
- Use the Course Reserve forms available online and the library staff will retrieve the items, make copies if necessary, and place the items on reserve.
- Interlibrary Loan Services: During the fall and spring semesters, returnable items will be delivered directly to faculty offices, or they may be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Copies of articles are typically delivered as PDF attachments to an e-mail.
- Library Liaisons: Each School has been assigned a liaison librarian to assist the faculty by providing library instruction for classes, ordering library materials, and to provide research assistance as needed. Get to know your liaison:
- Library Instruction: Contact the library liaison for your school to schedule instruction sessions. We can provide instruction in your classroom or in the instruction lab in the library.
- Library to Go: The library will deliver books, audio-visual materials, or copies of articles from journals in the library's collections directly to faculty offices. This service is available Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters while classes are in session.
- Ordering Library Materials: Procedures for ordering materials for the library to purchase for the collections are determined by department chairs and school deans.
- Photocopying: Faculty may charge photocopies to their departments at a cost of $0.05 per page. Please complete a photocopy charge form at the circulation desk.
- Fax: Use of the library fax machine is restricted to official college business. Please complete a transmittal form for billing purposes.
