             BRIDGEWATER, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s soccer team defeated Bridgewater College 3-0 Tuesday afternoon in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) regular season finale for both teams.

             Senior John Witt (Bedford, VA/Liberty) got Lynchburg on the scoreboard early with an unassisted goal just 6:39 into the game. The lead remained 1-0 until Robert Lee Green (Bumpass, VA/Louisa County) and Matthew Dunnum (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) added insurance goals in the final 20 minutes of play.

             LC out-shot the Eagles 28-3 and held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks. Zane Lineberry made 13 saves for Bridgewater (3-15/1-8 ODAC).

             The Hornets end the regular season with a 10-5-2 overall record, and a 4-3-2 conference mark. The eight-team, single-elimination ODAC Championship Tournament begins this weekend, with Lynchburg traveling to Washington & Lee University on Saturday.
