Hornets and Va. Wesleyan Women’s Soccer Ends in 0-0 Tie

             VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Lynchburg College women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 double overtime tie Saturday evening at Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) leading Virginia Wesleyan College.

             The Hornets out-shot their hosts 4-2 in the first half and 6-3 after intermission, but couldn’t capitalize. The Marlins held a 5-2 edge in shots in the two-10 minute overtime periods, while LC led 5-2 in corner kicks for the game.

             Lindsey Williams made eight stops for Virginia Wesleyan (12-1-3/9-0-1 ODAC), and Anna Wright (Ashland, VA/Patrick Henry) made five saves for Lynchburg in 75 minutes of action.

             LC hosts Guilford College Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the ODAC regular-season finale.
