Ricky Flynn Earns ODAC Men’s XC Runner of the Week

             SALEM, VA – Lynchburg College sophomore Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of October 15. It is Flynn’s third such award this fall.

 Flynn led the Hornets Saturday at the Mike Hodges Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon.  Flynn crossed the line in 20:25 - in 18th place and the first D-III runner in the 142-person field. Division I teams Oregon and Washington finished first and second in the team standings over the four mile course.

 Lynchburg is off next weekend, and will compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Meet Saturday, Oct. 27 at Washington & Lee University.
