LC Men’s XC in Portland, Oregon for Fall Break

            PORTLAND, OR – The Lynchburg College men’s cross country team traveled across the country for Fall Break to compete in the Mike Hodges Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon Saturday.

             Division I teams Oregon and Washington finished first and second in the team standings, with LC taking seventh in the 12-team field. Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) led the Hornets with a 10th-place finish in 21:16, Jeremy Faulk (Ashland, VA/Patrick Henry) was 34th in 21:36 and Pat Jacobs (Bloomingdale, NJ/Butler) was 39th in 21:31. Rich Apgar (Somers, NY/Somers) was 43rd in 21:37 and Brian Clapp (Smithfield, VA/Denbigh Baptist) placed 45th in 21:46.

 Lynchburg is off next weekend, and will compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Meet Saturday, Oct. 27 at Washington & Lee University.
