Lynchburg Women Run at Blue Ridge Open

             BOONE, NC – The Lynchburg College women’s cross country team placed 15th Friday afternoon at the Blue Ridge Open, hosted by Appalachian State University at the State Farm Fields.

            Sophomore Ashley Meyer (Springfield, MO/Glendale) paced LC on the 5K course in 19:38, placing 48th. Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/APW) took 83rd in 20:14, Molly Galloway (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) finished 89th in 20:19, Lindsay Fender (Fork Union, VA/Fluvanna) was 116th in 21 minutes even and Stephanie Searing (Skaneateles, NY/Skaneateles) crossed the finish line in 134th (21:19).

             Lynchburg is off next weekend, and will compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Meet Saturday, Oct. 27 at Washington & Lee University.
