The purpose of the Spiritual Life Center is to provide community worship (both Protestant and Roman Catholic); special services during the litugical year; voluntary service opportunities on campus, in the wider Lynchburg community, and on larger scales; and various expressions of concern and compassion for members of the community.

It also coordinates a number of campus religious organizations which include the Catholic Community, the Lynchburg Christian Fellowship (lcf), Disciples on Campus (DoC), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Canterbury Club (Episcopal), Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ReJOYce in Jesus, the Jewish Student Organization, and others.

Members of the community are also encouraged to attend local congregations of various denominations and faiths.
