Lynchburg Men Win Third-Straight Game - 2-0 at Methodist

             FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Lynchburg College men’s soccer team won its third consecutive game Tuesday afternoon, defeating Methodist University 2-0 in non-conference play.

Maurwyn A. Bowen (Montgomery Village, MD/Seneca Valley) scored from Modou Jobarteh (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) just five minutes into the game to give Lynchburg an early 1-0 advantage. Michael Abbonizio (Maple Glen, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) continued his recent scoring binge with an insurance tally in the final 10 minutes.

            The Monarchs fall to 7-6 overall.

            The Hornets (8-4-1) host Guilford College Saturday night at 7 p.m. on Senior Day.
