Lynchburg Volleyball Wins Two at Hood Tri-Match

             FREDERICK, MD – The Lynchburg College volleyball team won each of its two non-conference games Saturday at the Hood College tri-match.

             LC defeated Shenandoah University 32-30, 30-16, 30-17 in the first match. Katie Warlick (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge) had 12 kills, Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) had 11 and Amanda Walsh (Forest, VA/Heritage) had seven kills. Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) and Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) led LC in the dig and assist categories, with 12 and 39 respectively.

             The Hornets breezed to a 30-17, 30-12, 30-19 win over Hood behind 11 kills and six digs from Warlick. Sandifer posted 31 assists, Tinsley again had 12 digs and Walsh and Kylie Lucas (Verona, VA/Fort Defiance) each had eight kills.

             Lynchburg (13-4) travels to Sweet Briar College Tuesday for a conference match at 6:30 p.m.
