#19 LC Field Hockey Defeats Randolph-Macon 5-0

           LYNCHBURG, VA – The 19th ranked Lynchburg College field hockey team defeated Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) adversary Randolph-Macon College 5-0 Wednesday evening.

            Senior Jessi Bowman (Midlothian, VA/Clover Hill) scored two goals and added an assist, Jenny Weir (Richmond, VA/James River) also had two goals and Shannon Kennedy (Dumfries, VA/Forest Park) added a goal.

            The Hornets out-shot Randolph Macon 26-12 and held a 10-9 edge in penalty corners. Ashley Crouch made nine stops in net for the Yellow Jackets, while Sarah Cates (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) made five saves for LC.  

            Lynchburg (9-4/1-1 ODAC) hosts Sweet Briar College Friday night in another ODAC clash.
