Lynchburg Lacrosse

On September 29, 2007 the Lynchburg College Men’s Lacrosse team volunteered at The BB&T Virginia Ten Miler. The Virginia Ten Miler is a very challenging road race the truly represents Lynchburg’s nickname of “The Hill City.” The Lynchburg College Men’s Lacrosse team has made it an annual priority to support all those runners that undertake the taxing course. The guys help by handing out water and Gatorade, they set up the course, they clean up, and most importantly they cheer on the participants. The runners are truly appreciative all the support and have become quite use to seeing Lynchburg Lacrosse t-shirts as they move through the course. This year’s race offered a fun environment, great weather, and an extra bonus in the form of a former Lynchburg College lacrosse player. Chris Johnson, a 2004 graduate, competed in the race and did a terrific job in representing the program. All and all it is was a great day and the team is all ready looking forward to next year’s race.
It’s a great day to be a Hornet
