Randolph-Macon Upend LC Men 3-1
ASHLAND, VA - The Randolph-Macon College men's soccer team took an early 3-1 lead and held off Lynchburg College by that same score Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.
Chris Williams scored from Brad Line less than a minute into the game, then the two reversed rolls on a second tally at the 13:33 mark. Michael Abbonzio (Maple Glen, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) got LC on the board with an unassisted score at 22:52, but the Yellow Jackets struck 30 seconds later as Alec Depcrynski fed Scott Landolt to go ahead 3-1.
LC out shot Randolph-Macon 10-8 and held a 9-3 edge in corner kicks. Colin Royster made seven stops for RMC (4-6/2-2 ODAC).
The Hornets (5-4-1/0-2-1 ODAC) travel to Emory & Henry College for another conference game Tuesday at 4 p.m.
