LC Field Hockey Loses 3-0 to Division II Catawba

SALISBURY, NC - The Lynchburg College field hockey team lost 3-0 on the road to NCAA Division II Catawba College Wednesday.

LC out-shot Catawba 13-7 and held an 8-2 edge in penalty corners but could not manage to get the ball past two Catawba goalkeepers. Heather Kick recorded seven saves for Catawba (4-3) and Sarah VanBuskirk added another save in 5:24 of play. Nikiah Knox opened the scoring in the 26th minute, Patrese Morris added another goal just over a minute later added Dana Dolbow added the third goal at the 40-minute mark.

Lynchburg (7-3) hosts the #7 nationally ranked Captains of Christopher Newport University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
