About Us Academics Admissions Athletics Giving to the College Graduate Studies Library Student Life

Lynchburg College is one of 440 private colleges and universities participating in U-CAN, a new on-line resource launched September 26 for students and parents. Locally, Sweet Briar College is also listed, and Randolph College is planning to join in.

The University & College Accountability Network (U-CAN) is coordinated by the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities to provide greater college transparency and accountability. As tuition continues to grow, there's mounting pressure for colleges to be clear about the costs and value of the education they provide.

U-CAN's content and design is driven by consumer comments. All information is completely free and no advertising or sponsorships are accepted. The common format makes comparisons easier for prospective students and their families to find the information they are looking for.

The profile information includes admissions, enrollment, academics, student demographics, graduation rates, most common fields of study, transfer policies, accreditation, faculty information, class size, tuition and fees, financial aid, housing, student life, and campus safety.

To access U-CAN, go to www.ucan-network.org. For more information, contact Shannon Brennan at 434/544-8609.
