LC and W&L Men's Soccer Play to 0-0 Double OT Tie
LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College and Washington & Lee University men's soccer teams battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie Wednesday night in an important Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.
The contest was a very evenly contested match-up for all 110 minutes, which showed in the final statistics. Washington & Lee out-shot LC by a close 22-19 margin, and held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks. Both Lynchburg keeper Marcus Jordan (Lynchburg, VA/Germantown) and General net-minder Ted Sheedy made six saves.
The Generals move to 2-1-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the ODAC, while LC is now 5-1-1 and 0-0-1 in conference play.
Lynchburg hosts seventh-ranked York College (PA) Saturday at 5 p.m. in non-conference play as a part of Parents & Family Weekend.
