Jessi Bowman Scores Four as LC Field Hockey Defeats Villa Julie 7-1

LYNCHBURG, VA - Lynchburg College defeated Villa Julie College 7-1 in a non-conference field hockey match-up Saturday, as senior Jessi Bowman (Midlothian, VA/Clover Hill) and sophomore Allie Weir (Richmond, VA/James River) combined for all seven Hornet goals.


Bowman ended with four scores, three in the second half, while Weir had three goals and an assist. Senior Samantha Howard (Fairfax Station, VA/W.T. Woodson) and freshman Jenny Weir ( Richmond, VA/James River) each had two assists.

Cat Connelly scored the Mustang's goal, and goalie Kara Zimmerman made 16 saves.

Lynchburg (5-1) hosts McDaniel College (MD) Sunday at 1 p.m. in another non-conference game.
