Lynchburg College proudly presents its Transfer Scholarship Competition, which strives to recognize the achievements of those students who have excelled in their college communities and are now making the transition to Lynchburg College.
The Scholarships

Scholarships are renewable for each year of study for those who maintain the required GPA. These scholarships are in addition to any academic awards for which the student may qualify at the time of admission.
The Guidelines
- Competition eligibility is limited to full-time, traditional age (24 years or younger) prospective transfer students who have completed or are in the process of completing twelve or more college credit hours and are applying for first-time enrollment for the fall 2008 semester.
- Students should have a college grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
- An application for admission and scholarship competition application must be submitted by April 21, 2008. Applications submitted after April 21 will be considered on a space-available basis.
- Students invited to compete must participate in the on-campus competition (no exceptions).
- Competition dates are scheduled throughout the spring semester. Once invited to compete, students must R.S.V.P. by the deadline listed on their invitation.
- The on-campus competition will include an interview with a faculty member and a timed written essay.
- Scholarship award notifications will be mailed two weeks after the student has competed.
