LC Volleyball Drops Five-Set Heartbreaker at Va. Wesleyan

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The Lynchburg College volleyball team was defeated in heart-breaking fashion Wednesday evening at Virginia Wesleyan College, 26-30, 28-30, 30-26, 30-16, 18-16. The final game of the old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match was tied 11 times.

Senior Katie Warlick ( Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge) posted 16 kills and 12 digs, while senior Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) had 39 assists and 16 digs. Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) had 10 kills and seven digs, while Ashley Martin (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) and Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) had 29 and 14 digs, respectively.

Lynchburg (7-2/0-1 ODAC) hosts Eastern Mennonite University next Thursday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. in another conference match.
