Allie Weir Named ODAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

Allie WeirSALEM, VA - Lynchburg College's Allie Weir (Richmond, VA/James River) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Field Hockey Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week on Monday.

The sophomore attack led the Hornets to victories over the University of Mary Washington and York College in three matches last week. She had two goals, including the game-winner, on Wednesday to give LC a 3-2 victory on the road at Mary Washington. Over the weekend, she tallied three goals in a 6-4 loss against #8 ranked Lebanon Valley College - who had only allowed one goal all season. She followed up with three more goals and an assist on the road at York (Pa.) College in a 4-0 win.

For the season, Lynchburg is 4-1 and Weir has scored 13 goals with six assists for 32 points.
