Hornet Volleyball Finishes GBoro Tournament
GREENSBORO, NC - The Lynchburg College volleyball team spilt two matches Saturday on the final day of play at the Greensboro College tournament.
LC dropped its first match of the 2007 season to Piedmont College, 30-19, 30-25, 30-22. Katie Warlick (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge) posted nine kills and 10 digs, while Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) had 25 assists. Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) had a team-best 19 digs.
LC defeated Greensboro in the last match 30-19, 21-30, 30-26, 30-25. Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) had 16 kills, Warlick had 13 and Jones contributed 11. Sandifer had 49 assists.
The Hornets (7-1) open the Old Dominion Athletic Conference season on Wednesday at Virginia Wesleyan College at 6 p.m.
