Lynchburg College students, faculty and staff are provided with an e-mail account. This e-mail account is available to students who are actively enrolled at the College and to current College employees. All e-mail accounts are on the Microsoft Exchange Server, which uses Microsoft Outlook Mail.
Your e-mail address will be: lastname_firstinitial@students.lynchburg.edu (example: kranston_l@students.lynchburg.edu). Your initial password is your social security number - no dashes or slashes. You will have the opportunity to change your password once you are logged into the network.
To access your e-mail off campus: open your web browser i.e. Internet Explorer or Firefox. (Attention VISTA users: Mozilla's Firefox is recommended for those using the Vista operating system on their PCs.)
In the address line type: students.lynchburg.edu. Leave off the www. A dialog box will pop up and ask for your user name and password. Enter your college network user name (lastname_firstinitial) and password, and click OK. You will have the same access to your e-mail off-campus as you would have on-campus.
