All Lynchburg College students, faculty, and staff are welcome to visit the writing center for help with their writing.

Tutorial services are available at all levels of writing and in all disciplines.

Writing Center Tutors

Established in 1981, the Center was renamed the Alton L. Wilmer Writing Center in 1997, in honor of the retired Pepsi-Cola executive whose career with the company spanned 34 years from 1959 to 1993.

Writing Center Hours

  • Monday - Thursday
    10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 - 10 p.m.
  • Friday
    10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday
    7 - 10 p.m.

If you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel it at least one hour before the appointment is scheduled to occur.

Also, please remember to bring your paper guidelines or syllabus to the appointment.
