"I love a challenge, and as a freshman, I had many opportunities I wouldn't have had elsewhere. I appeared in four theatre productions, sang the soprano solo in Mozart's Coronation Mass, and especially challenged myself in the honors program."

The Westover Honors Program provides a vibrant learning community for academically gifted students. Through an innovative approach to education, the Westover Program prepares students to excel in a world of widespread and rapid change.

Established in 1987, the Westover Honors Program promotes interaction among students who value academic excellence. Through formal and informal learning experiences, Westover Fellows hone their creative, problem-solving, and critical skills while they broaden and deepen their intellectual curiosity and independence.

An intellectual environment of trust and mutual respect encourages Westover Fellows to participate in the free exchange of ideas and intellectual risk taking, while a wide range of social and cultural opportunities linked to a highly challenging curriculum expands traditional classroom boundaries.

"Dr. Dave Perault, my Westover Honors Program advisor, has become a good friend and continues to be a mentor even though I've been away at graduate school for three years."
