Hornet Days
After SOAR, Hornet Days continue the introduction to life as an LC student. All new full-time students are required to participate.
Students learn about the LC honor code and policies, community service opportunities, and health and safety issues. They meet with their academic advisors and learning communities. Events in the residence halls acquaint them with the resident assistants and other students.
Freshman Common Reading
To be determined in May! Freshmen should read the Freshman Common Reading before arriving in August. The book will be discussed with academic advisors during Hornet Days and will be used in all freshman English classes. Information about the book and a reading guide will be provided to all students at SOAR or mailed to students attending the August SOAR session.
