Interests

Dr. Walton is interested in critical theory, deviance, the sociology of music, and the problem of representation with respect to race, class, and gender.  When time allows Dr. Walton enjoys deconstructing popular music, writing and recording indie folk songs, watching art house films, and a “good walk spoiled,” weather permitting.
