What is Virginia Private College Week?
During Virginia Private College Week (VPCW), the 27 members of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV) host daily Open House programs for prospective students and their families.
The program includes campus tours, financial aid and admissions workshops, and curriculum/program overviews.
Save Money with Virginia Private College Week!
Virginia private colleges offer students a friendly academic community where teaching comes first and students receive personal attention and mentoring.
In addition to visiting excellent private colleges in the state, you can save money by participating in VPCW. If you visit 3 or more of the participating colleges during the week, you will receive 3 application fee waivers. That means no application fee for 3 Virginia private colleges of your choice - saving you about $100.
The fee waivers can be redeemed at any of the 27 colleges and universities that are members of CICV.
Here’s how you participate:
- Pick up a passport at the first college you visit after completing the tour.
- At the end of each tour, have the college stamp your passport.
- Mail your completed passport to CICV to receive your fee waivers.
