eBenefits
On Sunday, December 11, 2011, an update to eBenefits was released that allows Post-9/11 GI Bill students to view their entitlement and enrollment information. eBenefits enrollees, who have a Premium account, can now view their VA education benefit enrollment information.
Once logged in, key information is displayed such as your Post-9/11 GI Bill eligibility date, your delimiting (or end) date, the amount of entitlement used, and the amount of remaining entitlement. It will also display your enrollment history. This screen capture is an example of the information displayed.
The eBenefits - Homepage is your primary starting point. Instructions to establish a Premium account are located here. Remember, eBenefits is a secure access point for information on all your VA benefits.
Watch for announcements on future enhancements to eBenefits that will deliver more information about your Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Veterans Can Attend LC Tuition-Free
Thanks to Lynchburg College's Veterans Award, all veterans who meet 100% Post 9/11 GI Bill eligibility and LC admissions requirements can attend Lynchburg College tuition-free. Benefits are available for undergraduate and graduate programs. Unused educational benefits may be transferred to children or spouses of qualifying veterans and active duty military.
"The original GI Bill provided countless opportunities for World War II veterans, including many who graduated from Lynchburg College. We are proud to provide this benefit to a new generation of military men and women who have served their country honorably during difficult times." - President Kenneth R. Garren
Am I Eligible for GI Benefits?
To be eligible, a service member or veteran must have served at least 90 aggregate days beginning on or after September 11, 2001. Individuals honorably discharged with a service-connected disability who served 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001, may also be eligible. The Post 9/11 Eligibility Chart will help you determine your eligibility.
Which Benefit is Best for Me?
Many veterans and service members can qualify for more than one education benefits program. Depending on your individual circumstances, one of these programs may give you better benefits than the others. The Department of Veteran's Affairs website provides a step-by-step process that compares the different education programs; you can also follow the Road Map to Success to determine what benefit is best for you and how to apply for it.
