Transfer Scholarship Competition
The Transfer Scholarship Competition recognizes the achievements of students who have excelled in their college communities and are now making the transition to Lynchburg College.
The competition is by invitation only. You must be a traditional-age incoming transfer student admitted to the College and complete the competition application in order to be considered.
The deadline to apply has been extended to May 31, 2012.
The Scholarships

Scholarships are renewable for each year of study for those who maintain the required GPA. These scholarships are in addition to any academic awards for which the student may qualify at the time of admission.
To Apply:
- You must be a full-time, traditional age (24 years or younger) incoming transfer student who has completed or is in the process of completing 12 or more college credit hours and are applying for first-time enrollment at LC for the fall semester.
- You should have a college GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- You must apply and be admitted to Lynchburg College, and apply for the scholarship competition by May 31, 2012. (Applications received after May 31, 2012 will be considered on a space-available basis.)
Competition Details
- If you are invited to compete, you must participate in the on-campus competition (no exceptions).
- Competition dates are scheduled throughout the spring semester. Once invited to compete, you must R.S.V.P. by the deadline listed on your invitation.
- The competition will include an interview with a faculty member and a timed written essay.
- Scholarship award notifications will be mailed 2 weeks of the competition.
