Thanksgiving Break

This information is related to residential closing. Academic classes and coursework must be followed per the instructor for that class. If there are any conflicts, please contact your RA or the Office of Residence Life for accommodations. Residential closing does NOT excuse a student from missing class.

If you are leaving at or before 9:30 p.m. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2009, drive safely and enjoy family and friends. Also, please skip #2 and #3 and go directly to #4. If you are staying FRIDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 20, 2009, you must register on-line and follow these directions:

go to https://mylc.lynchburg.edu
Click on the residential tab, then the arrival tab
Complete and submit NO LATER than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.
Failure to do so or staying illegally will result in a $75 fine.

Everyone must be out by 10 a.m. on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2009. If you are not departing Lynchburg by 10 a.m., you may wait for your ride or cab in Westover.

Before you leave:

unplug all appliances except refrigerator and aquarium
close and lock your windows
pull your blinds down
turn off your lights
close and lock your door
empty your trash can!

As usual, a safety check of the building will be conducted by the staff.

Halls will reopen Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 10 a.m.

Halls will not be open before 10 a.m., so please do not plan to enter before that time.
