Rome as Art

Celebrate the New Year in Rome, the Eternal City!

The Rome study abroad program offers opportunity to experience the magnificent city through the fine arts or photography lenses. Choose from one of two courses, ART 110 or ART 166.

The first course provides students a visual sensory overload as they experience firsthand some of the greatest art and architecture the world has to offer.  Rome is a fascinating living museum of history and art. The city truly is your classroom, which includes the Colosseum, Basilica di San Clemente, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican among many others.

Those enrolled in the photography course will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the basic theory about the cultural significance of photography as they capture the splendor of the Eternal City for their course portfolio.

Participation in this program will fulfill the Fine Arts General Education Requirement. Students may enroll in either Introduction to Visual Art (ART 110SA) or Photography 1 (ART 166SA).
