Each class elects a Class Council consisting of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The class officers are responsible for programming for their respective classes and the campus community. Classes sponsor picnics, dances, theme nights, and fundraising activities to unify and support the class.
Class of 2015
President: Erin Mitnitsky
Erin Mitnitsky is a senior nursing major originally from Bow, New Hampshire. Erin ran for president of her class in the spring of 2012, and has continued to maintain the position as President since. In addition to SGA, Erin continued her involvement with Hillel, Student Nursing Association of Lynchburg College (SNALC), and worked with the college through the work-study program. Erin is so honored to be president and pursue the interests of her class, as well as to make senior year a memorable and unforgettable one.
Vice President: Shaila Crumpton
Shaila is a senior pursuing major in biomedical science. She is from Chester, Virginia and graduated from Matoaca High School in 2011. Shaila is very active on campus, serving as the vice president of her class, president of RSO and, president of Pre-Med, Pre-PA club. She likes to make a difference and be involved in the community, which is why she joined SGA in the second semester of her freshman year as secretary of the class. She is honored to serve as the Class of 2015 Vice President and is ready to prepare for a successful senior year.
Secretary: Malia Huggins
Malia Huggins is a senior pursuing a major in Heath Promotion. She is from Mount Rainier, Maryland where she graduated from Northwestern High School in 2011. Malia started her SGA career her junior year in the Spring of 2014 serving as the Secretary of the Class of 2015. In addition to her involvement with SGA, she also serves a membership in PACE (Peer Advocate for Campus Education). She is the Vice President for the Zeta Omega Chapter of Phi Epsilon Kappa Honorary Fraternity, as well as the Vice President of the Health Promotion Club. Malia’s voluntary work and desire to make a difference served a reason as to why she joined SGA. She is very mind driven, hardworking and gives a 100% in everything she does. She also loves to help in favor of her peers and wishes that she will make a positive impact on them. Malia is delighted to serve, yet another year, as the senior class Secretary in SGA and plans to continue to bring her creativity and positive attitude at all times.
Treasurer: Natalie Pruitt
Natalie Pruitt is a junior majoring in Accounting with minors in Fraud Investigation and Marketing. She is from Lynchburg, VA where she graduated with honors from Holy Cross Regional Catholic School in 2011. Natalie is the Vice President of the Residential Student Organization and the President of the Lynchburg College Entrepreneurs Organization as well as being involved in other organizations on campus. She is honored to serve as the Treasurer of the Class of 2015 in the upcoming year.
SGA/SJB Liaison: Rachel Thomson
Rachel Thomson is a senior Sociology major, Human Services emphasis with a minor in Spanish. She is from Nacogdoches, Texas and graduated from Prince Edward County High School in 2011. As well as being the liaison to SGA from the Student Judicial Board, Rachel serves as a Resident Assistant in Tate Hall and the Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Westover Honors Program. Rachel is exceedingly excited to liaise for SGA this year!

Vice President: Sierra Strathy
Sierra Strathy is a junior that is majoring in health promotions, with a minor in sociology. She is from Powhatan, VA and graduated from Powhatan High School in 2012. Sierra began her career on the SGA team when she was elected as the Class of 2016 Vice President at the end of her sophomore year. Sierra is also a member of other organizations on campus. She is also a team member of Lynchburg College Volleyball, a Resident Assistant (RA), and a part of the religious group called Intervarsity.
Treaurer: Angel Nolasco
Angel Nolasco was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. At the age of seven he moved to Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, where he has resided for the last fourteen years. Angel graduated from Potomac Falls High School in 2012. He is an Economics major with an emphasis in Finance. He is minoring in mathematics as well. Angel is involved with the Hispanic Society (having served as treasurer), Club soccer, Creciendo Juntos, and with the MLRC (Spanish tutor). He is honored to serve as the classes’ Treasurer and looks forward to helping as much as he can.

President: Andrew Vogel
Andrew Vogel is a sophomore pursuing a major in Business Administration, with a minor in Sports Management. Born in San Antonio, Texas Andrew eventually ended up in Hanover, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Hanover Senior High School in 2013. This is his second year serving as the class of 2017 President in SGA. Andrew is also a proud brother of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity on campus, and will serve as their Historian this year. He is an athlete as well as he is the Co-Vice President for the Men’s Club Basketball Team. Andrew is honored to have been elected to serve his class again this year and is excited to have a great year.
Secretary: Lindsey Van Zile
Lindsey Van Zile is a sophomore Environmental Studies major. She is from Pine Beach, New Jersey and graduated from Toms River High School South in 2013. Lindsey is a member of the Lynchburg College Cross Country and Track and Field teams. She is also a member of the Society of Westover Fellows. Lindsey is very excited to get involved with the student body to plan exciting events for the sophomore class. Lindsey is looking forward to serving as the Class of 2017 Secretary and to keeping the Class of 2017 informed of class meetings and to involve them in class related decisions.
