St. Lucia - Lynchburg College Partnership

Lynchburg College began a partnership with the nation of St. Lucia in 2003. Since then, we have collaborated on a teacher training program in special education and a school counselor training program, both provided on-site in St. Lucia.

On-site Program in St. Lucia

Lynchburg College will open an on-site program in St. Lucia in May 2014. Course offerings will be designed to respond to educational needs of persons in St. Lucia as well as other countries within the Eastern Caribbean.

The instructional format will be primarily face-to-face with support through Lynchburg College's Internet resources.

"As a student from St. Lucia, my MEd in reading equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate change in my country in the area of reading. Not only did I gain knowledge, but also I developed new ties. The faculty and staff at Lynchburg College became my extended family. They were very supportive and always willing to assist."
