Spring Break

This information is related to residential closing. Academic classes and coursework must be followed per the instructor for that class. If there are any conflicts, please contact your RA or the Office of Residence Life for accommodations. Residential closing does NOT excuse a student from missing class.

As you gather up your suntan lotion and shades, please remember these important points about the residence halls:

  1. Residence halls close for spring break at 10 a.m., SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2010.
  2. If you are leaving on or before 9:30 p.m. on FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2010, please skip #3 and #4, and go directly to #5.
  3. If you are staying FRIDAY NIGHT, MARCH 5, 2010 past 9:30 p.m., you must register below by SUNDAY, February 28, 2010.  Residents found in the halls on Friday night without registering, will be charged a $75 fine, so let us know - it is for your own safety.
  4. All residents must be out of the buildings by 10 a.m., SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2010.
  5. Before you leave:
  • unplug all your appliances except your refrigerator and aquarium;
  • empty your trash cans (failure to do so will result in a $50 charge);
  • close and lock your windows;
  • put your blinds down;
  • turn off your lights;
  • turn off the heater/AC unit;
  • secure all personal belongings;
  • close and lock your door - as usual, a safety check will be made of all the rooms by the residence life staff.

Have a safe Spring Break... travel safely!

Residence halls will not reopen until at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2010.
