"I am really glad I chose to continue studying Spanish at LC. The few credit hours required for the major made it possible to double major. Having Spanish as well as another major on my resume made me stand out as a candidate for jobs. I feel like knowing another language puts students immediately ahead of other job-seekers in this day and age. Also, studying Spanish at LC made me more aware of other cultures around me. The emphasis on conversation encouraged me to practice speaking with native Spanish-speakers I would meet outside of the classroom. Also, the small class sizes really helped stepping out of my comfort zone a little easier. The Spanish professors, like most LC faculty, were very approachable and patient when it came to needing extra help or advice about my studies. And that relationship is an important aspect of learning for me."

"LC was a great place to study Spanish for four years. The professors are so passionate about not only the language, but the assortment of cultures in the Spanish speaking world as well. Their enthusiasm and support guided me toward studying abroad in Costa Rica for a semester, where I put my skills to the real test!"
