Named in honor of William H. Shellenberger, professor of health, movement science, and recreation and coach (1952-1989), Shellenberger Field features a full-pour polyurethane track and is the home of men's and women's outdoor track and soccer teams and men's lacrosse team competitions.
Shellenberger Field is also the site of the annual Turkey Bowl flag football classic, a day-long series of men's, women's, and coed flag football games; and Special Olympics for which a large number of faculty, staff, and students volunteer each year.
