Johnson Scott (scott.f@lynchburg.edu) is an instructor of music at Lynchburg College. He teaches courses in music theory, music technology, and aural skills. In addition, he teaches applied organ lessons and is the conductor of the Lynchburg College Handbell Choir.
Mr. Scott earned a Master of Music from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University in 1987. He studied piano with the late Nancy Lloyd; organ with Dr. Harvey Huiner, Richard McPherson, Colin Andrews, and Steven Cooksey; and conducting with David Watkins and Steven Cooksey. He is currently working toward a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education at Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University.
Mr. Scott is organist at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lynchburg.
