Dr. James "Jimmy" Roux
Associate Professor of Communication Studies

Originally from New Orleans, Jimmy earned a bachelor of science from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in 1985, an M.A. in interpersonal and public communication from Bowling Green State University in 1991, and a Ph.D. in interpersonal communication from Bowling Green State University in 1998.

Jimmy teaches a variety of classes including Interpersonal Communication; Research Methods, Professional and Organizational Communication; and Small Group Communication. His research interests are interpersonal communication and conflict and negotiation. In addition, Jimmy serves as a certified mediator for the State of Virginia.
