Residence Hall Association
Welcome back for 2008-2009! Hopefully, you were able to take some time to relax in the sun and recharge over the summer. While you were away, we have been hard at work preparing for your return and the new academic year.
For those of you who don't know, RHA, or the Residence Hall Association, was created in 1999 at Lynchburg College to further a sense of community and to advance the common interests of residential students through innovative programming and governance. RHA works on a variety of projects and initiatives throughout the year. We work towards improving the residential experience by making improvements to residential facilities and holding various events and informative programs throughout the year.
This year, RHA has been restructured to better suit your needs. Several new focus groups have been created to allow RHA to better serve the student body by focusing on the whole residential experience, not just programming. The focus groups include:
- Accountable Communities and Facility Enhancement
- Events and Activities
- Good Neighbor Initiatives
- Marketing
- Outreach
- Recruitment and Retention
Take advantage of these great opportunities and get involved. All students living in college-owned housing are eligible to be members of RHA. Help us to create positive changes for our campus community and join one of our focus groups.
We wish you success throughout the year, and we hope to see you at our meetings and events!
