Residential Living

Lynchburg College guarantees four years of housing to its students. All unmarried, full-time freshmen, sophomores, and juniors -- other than those living at home with parents and students age 23 and older -- are required to live in college-owned housing. Priority housing is granted to early decision candidates. Typically, students who apply for housing by mid- to late-spring are assigned one of their first three residence hall choices.

Lynchburg College offers campus living in six residence hall settings for freshmen, sophomores, upperclassmen, and all summer school students. Each residence hall offers washers and dryers that cost $1 per load and full kitchens that include oven, refrigerator, stove, and microwave. All buildings have lounges with TVs and cable hook-up.

Lynchburg College also owns more than seventy houses around the College that are reserved for our students, based on GPA and seniority. In the spring, Special Interest groups can apply with the Office of Residence Life to get a Special Interest House for the following fall. Special Interest Houses currently include: Westover Honors, International House, Track House, and Wellness House. In the spring, students who are not in an interest group have the opportunity to apply for a house with their friends, again, based on seniority and GPA. Students will find our houses in the best condition and very suitable to living, learning, and growth.

Connections to the Internet and the campus computer network are available in all dormitories, courts, and townhomes for a nominal fee. Residence hall networking requires appropriate computer and network hardware. Call Information Technology & Resources at 434/544-8350 for information. Connections to the Internet and campus computer network are also offered in thirteen computer labs located throughout campus.

Loft kits are available for interested students during check-in and at specified times throughout the school year. Please check the Office of Residence Life calendar for dates, times, and locations.
